|Brunhilde Barnard, Chartered Accountant (South Africa) leads EY Africa’s Infrastructure Advisory Practice and is based in Johannesburg. Brunhilde joined EY in 2007 and has over 27 years’ experience in advising government and state owned entities on large complex programmes.
Brunhilde is the EY client service partner to the South African Department of Energy IPP Unit for its leading and ground breaking Independent Power Producers Procurement Programmes across Renewable Energy, Gas to Power, Small RE Projects, Coal and Co Generation, overseeing the financial transaction advisory, governance advisory and audit support advisory teams supporting the IPP Office. Brunhilde has been in this role since the establishment of the IPP Unit in December 2010, with a dual role as the EY engagement partner delivering into the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme, over Bid Windows 1 to 4.
